UN to continue supporting governments effort aimed at eliminating Malaria

Apr 27, 2017

25th April is commemorated as National Malaria Day.
Today the United Nations in Zambia participated in the commemoration of the event under the theme "Malaria Ends with Me".

In delivering her speech, UN Resident Coordinator Janet Rogan highlighted that sustainable development includes reaching good levels of health for all populations. She emphasized the need to make sure no-one is left behind in the drive to end malaria in order to achieve SDG 3 by 2030.

Ms. Rogan also assured partners of the UN Zambia’s commitment to improving the delivery of health services by providing quality technical and financial assistance to support the campaign to eradicate malaria in partnership with government, bilateral and multilateral financing partners, and especially with communities.
