EVALUATION CRITERIA

The select committee will base selection on the following criteria:

1.1.

General applicant’s capability

  • Zambian, domiciled in country.
  • Award distribution should be 50-50 gender parity with 20% awarded to people living with disabilities

2.1.

Proposes an innovative approach

  • Understanding of the problem they are trying to address
  • Addresses the problem in a new way
  • Will advance new solutions to the selected sector

  • The Theory of Change and the innovation goals/objectives are clear
  • Clear connection of issues to the proposed methods
  • Proposed implementation plan is SMART – Specific. Measurable. Achievable. Realistic. Timeframe

PROPOSED ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA

The application will be opened to participants assessed according to the following:

  • Zambian with undue advantage to youths between the age of 18 – 35, women/girls and people living with disabilities.
  • The innovative business or idea must be implemented in in the locality where the innovator is based.
  • The applicant individual/company must be willing to be matched to a business development and mentorship programme, focused on enhancing their skills
  • The applicant individual/company must demonstrate willingness to participate in the Business Acceleration programme
